Parker began in 1860 as a stage stop. The Twenty Mile House was owned by James Sample Parker, which gave his name to the now bustling town.
In the last twenty years Parker has undergone a transformation from a quiet rural town to one of the faster growing suburban areas in the Denver Metro Area. While Main Street in Parker retains much of that old-town charm, new housing developments are planned to take advantage of open spaces and walking trails.
Parker is an easy commute to the Denver Tech Center, Inverness and Meridian Office Park, and downtown Denver.
There are several recreation centers, two golf courses, and miles of walking and biking trails.
